Practitioner - Jacqueline Caufield, MS, PT
Jacqueline is now on staff at Calliope.  She received her Master's of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Columbia University and is
also a Certified Pilate's instructor, Pilates Institute of America, and a Fitness Trainer.  She has worked extensively in private,
orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation centers.  Her practice focuses on manual therapy and osteopathic-type manipulation.
Her extensive training and experience makes it possible for her to work at a level of expertise wherein art meets science. Sessions by appointment


YOGA THERAPY
Practitioner - Linda Fuller, IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist, RYT, CES, Reiki Master
The client is guided through therapeutic assisted Yoga postures focusing on physical issues, breathing, alignment and the facilitation of  a
deeper awareness and connection to one's internal compass, and the release of stress, tensions and emotions through the combination
of the physical healing process and a client-practitioner dialogue.  Session by appointment at Calliope.

Calliope  now offers, exclusively, THE HOLISTIC WORKOUT METHOD  focuses on the mind-body connection combining the cutting- 
edge workout techniques of the West with the concentration, focus and relaxation techniques of the East.  Holistic Fitness stresses total
mental focus, being in the 'now moment'  while moving through a concentrated flow  that works all of the muscle groups.  Each Personal Fitness session utilizes principles of progressive weight training mind-body techniques including  breathing, concentrated stretching to enhance movement and focus, and relaxation techniques  to reduce stress.


PILATE'S ALIGNMENT
Private sessions guiding the client through Pilate's movement techniques that concentrate on spinal alignment, breathing and relaxation, and assisted stretching sequences while emphasizing deep core work to strengthen, stabilize and release the back.  Some abdominal work and exercises for spinal articulation are based on Laban Movement, Holistic Method and other movement techniques

REIKI
Reiki, a Japanese energy-based therapy, is founded on the belief that the application of an external energy source can alter a person’s individual internal bio-energy  creating a biochemical response that promotes healing. In Reiki, the healing energy flows from a practitioner to a specific patient body part to relieve pain and improve motion, to relieve stress and promote relaxation by combating negative thoughts.  Sessions by appointment at Calliope.

Dr. Ronald Cohen holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has 30 years in private clinical practice and 28 years of Post Doctoral specialty training in dealing with cancer patients and their families.  He specializes in Restorative Coaching and has developed the Psycho-Oncology Treatment Program utilizing relaxation training, visual imagery, cognitive re-framing to cope with specific cancer concerns, and skills training in effective strategies to cope with familial stresses.  He offers expertise in Crisis Intervention, Family Counseling, and Cognitive Behavioral Techniques.  Private and group By Appointment.

AROMATHERAPY

Aromatherapy has evolved from Ayurveda, an ancient Indian practice based on the belief that the body, mind, and spirit are interconnected and that health is a state of physical,
emotional, and spiritual harmony.  Essential oils, derived from plants, are used to promote physical relaxation and emotional well-being. Essential oils are free of chemical additives. They are applied directly to the skin in diluted form or by inhalation.  It is important to note that the oils should never be taken orally. Aromatherapy is commonly used as an adjunct to massage and sometimes as a compliment to Restorative Yoga. The oils can be used individually or in blends to create a desired effect.
