Our Mission

We offer classes, programs and techniques to help with the care and recovery of cancer patients, survivors and clients recovering from or living with illness or injury by fully addressing the needs of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. This effort is based on an increasing body of scientific evidence that supports a quality of life benefit with the addition of complementary therapies to standard management.   Rebound-Evolve Recovery Wellness at Calliope is proud to offer group fitness classes and individual exercise training, nutrition counseling, psychological counseling and support groups, educational lectures, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, massage, aromatherapy, and Reiki. We have put together a group of highly qualified practitioners with special oncology training, fitness and therapy credentials who are compassionate, supportive, and motivating. We hope that the opportunity to participate in the Wellness program empowers cancer patients and survivors and recovery clients to take a more active role in their care and starts them on the path toward physical, emotional, and spiritual rehabilitation with improved quality of life.


Introduction to Fitness



Common sense” tells us that patients undergoing cancer treatment should get plenty of rest and not push themselves too hard. But, there is more and more evidence that increasing physical activity during treatment improves quality of life. Even short walks for more debilitated patients can help them feel better. For patients of all levels of physical ability, exercise can decrease fatigue, increase muscle strength, improve balance and coordination, increase flexibility, and improve mood.

Cancer survivors are often looking to take an active role in their recovery and long-term health, and exercise is a key component of this journey. Studies show that meeting recommendations for increased physical activity in patients with breast, prostate, and colorectal cancers can decrease the risk of cancer recurrence and possibly even improve overall survival. Exercise helps cancer survivors build lean muscle, achieve a healthy body weight, increase energy, and improve body image. For areas of the body that have been impaired by surgery, exercise can improve function by increasing mobility and strength. Furthermore, increasing physical activity improves cardiovascular health and increases bone strength, which is particularly important in breast and prostate cancer patients receiving endocrine therapy that can weaken the bones.

Rebound-Evolve  Recovery Wellness offers both group fitness classes and individual exercise training. The first class is free, so come check us out! Our fitness instructors are here to help motivate and mobilize you throughout your journey to wellness. We will support you. We will push you. And we will help celebrate your success.


Individual Exercise Training

Our individual exercise sessions are tailored to address the special needs and concerns o f cancer patients and survivors, and clients recovering from or living with
other illness or injury.  After a thorough initial assessment that includes a health history and analysis of posture, flexibility, and strength, an exercise program
is created just  for you.



Yoga & Meditation

Yoga is an ancient practice originating in India that incorporates controlled breathing, exercise postures, and meditation to enhance physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. There are several types of yoga practice of varying degrees of difficulty that can be employed to increase physical strength and flexibility, reduce fatigue and stress, improve sleep, and generally enhance quality of life.  the Rebound Evolve Wellness Program offers Restorative Yoga, which is appropriate for participants of all levels of skill and physical functioning. Meditation is a relaxation technique that involves focusing the mind in a way that distracts conscious perception of painful stimuli, resulting in a state of calm and inner peace. Group meditation classes are enhanced by the guidance of an instructor. Once the techniques of breathing, posture, and “working through” distractions are mastered, meditation can be practiced alone, both at home and at work.
